TERMS & CONDITIONS

Thank you for visiting my website. If you continue to browse and use this website, you are agreeing to comply with and be bound by the following terms and conditions of use, which together with our privacy policy govern Alice Millin Design's relationship with you in relation to this website.

The term ‘Alice Millin Design', 'Alice Millin' or ‘us’ or 'I' or ‘we’ refers to the owners of the website .The term ‘you’ refers to the user or viewer of the website.

ORDERING

I make every effort to ensure all products are in stock, but in the event of us not having your chosen product I will email you and offer an alternative, a refund or a later delivery if appropriate.

Credit card orders are processed securely by Paypal and Square. Alice Millin Design does not handle any credit card data for orders placed online.

Please note that pictures may not be to scale; always check dimensions. Colours are reproduced as accurately as possible, however, as with all photography, there may be some slight variations.

If you wish to cancel an order placed with us, please email me at alicemillindesign@gmail.com and I will be happy to assist. Please note, I cannot cancel an orders that have been shipped and you will be responsible for return postage costs. In these circumstances a refund will be provided once I have received the items unless it is a made to order item. I can only refund items that are returned in their original saleable condition.

DELIVERY

UK parcels are sent with Royal Mail second class delivery in most circumstances. Sometimes I use a courier to deliver your goods which can take up to 5 working days - this will require a signature. 

Free UK delivery over £30

£1.50 delivery for orders under £10.

£2.50 delivery for orders valued between £10-£30.

I aim to process orders the same day, although occasionally I may take slightly longer. For example, made to order items can take up to 5 working days to make. 

INTERNATIONAL ORDERS

I welcome international orders via my Etsy Shop - alicemillindesign 

RETURNS

I hope you are delighted with your purchases from Alice Millin Design but if not, I can offer a refund on most items as long as it is returned in its original packaging and in a saleable condition within 14 days of receipt. Unfortunately I cannot accept returns of made to order items. Please contact me if you wish to return or for more information. Please note, however, that I am unable to reimburse return postage costs. If you receive faulty or damaged goods, please contact me and I will arrange to refund you. 

PRIVACY

alicemillin.co.uk collects information on you in two ways:

1. The information that you manually provide us when you opt into our email list, use our contact form or make a purchase in our shop. This information can be tied directly to you because of the information you’ve provided.

2. The information that’s automatically collected via our third-party partners: Wix, Google analytics, Square and Paypal. The types of information collected here include things like: the pages you visit, location, purchases you make, emails you open, click on and opt in. Generally, our third-party partners only give us this information in the aggregate (e.g. it’s not identifiable to you) but sometimes this information can be directly tied to you for example when you sign up to our mailing list, Wix lets us see which emails you open and click on. 

The Wix website tracks personal information through the use of cookies - by visiting this site you acknowledge the use of cookies.

 

We do our best to protect your sensitive personal information. We protect it by having SSL security installed on our website (SSL lets you navigate our website and submit information securely via HTTPS) and partnering with Paypal and Square to process your credit card payments so we never know your credit card number. We collect this information to create a better shopping experience for you and to design more products that you’ll love!

The information collected is only shared with our trusted third party partners when necessary to deliver products or services you've requested (Paypal, Square, Wix and Google Analytics.)

What information is being collected?

I only get what you send me. Usually details like name/address/email address/phone number. 

 

Who is collecting it?

I collect your information to help me to fulfil a service (sending you your order or email you about my news). Google analytics sees information including location, which page your visit and how long you visited my page for - these analytics help me improve my website. Paypal and Square manage the payments for my website so they can see your information. These companies have their own privacy policies. 

 

How is it collected?

Information is collected when you visit my website (Google Analytics), when you sign up to my email list or send me an email. It is also collected when you place an order - this is so that I know where to send your goods! 

 

 

Why is it being collected?

I keep data simply to help me to help you.

 

How will it be used?

I only use the information to send you your orders, email you when you contact me or sign up to my email list and finally to help me improve the experience for you.

 

Who will it be shared with?

I only share your information with trusted third parties such as; Paypal, Square, Wix and Google Analytics. They all have their own privacy polices. 

How is the information stored?

Our company is hosted on the Wix.com platform. Wix.com provides us with the online platform that allows us to sell our products and services to you. Your data may be stored through Wix.com’s data storage, databases and the general Wix.com applications. They store your data on secure servers behind a firewall. 

All direct payment gateways offered by Wix.com and used by our company adhere to the standards set by PCI-DSS as managed by the PCI Security Standards Council, which is a joint effort of brands like Visa, MasterCard, American Express and Discover. PCI-DSS requirements help ensure the secure handling of credit card information by our store and its service providers.

 

What will be the effect of this on the individuals concerned?

Their isn’t an effect- it just helps me to help you!

Is the intended use likely to cause individuals to object or complain?

I can’t see a reason why it would.

I believe I make it clear why I collect your data- it enables me to send your goods, email marketing and make your experience on my website better. 

I keep any online data behind password protection

I try not to store any hard copies with your information on, but If I have to, then I keep this in a lockable filing cabinet which only I have access to. Hard copies of information are generally for stockist/wholesale information purposes. 

If I was to have a data breach (electronically) then I would change all passwords, inform the ICO and everyone involved straight away if it's likely to result in a risk to individuals rights and freedoms.

SHARING

All images, text, design and graphics on this website are owned by Alice Millin Design. I welcome people sharing my images, but please ensure you credit and link the work to this site.

Alice Millin Design reserve the right to modify / change the website at any given time. Prices displayed do not contain delivery costs.

Alice Millin Design recognises that it has a responsibility to our environment and is striving to reduce the impact our business may have.

Alice Millin is responsible for ensuring that the environmental policy is implemented.

Paper

  • We will reduce packaging as much as possible. 

  • We will aim to use recyclable paper packaging as much as possible.

  • We will seek to buy recycled and recyclable paper products.

  • We will reuse and recycle all paper where possible.

  • We will seek to reduce the amount of energy used as much as possible.

  • Lights and electrical equipment will be switched off when not in use.

 

Office supplies

  • We will evaluate the environmental impact of any new products we intend to purchase.

  • We will favour more environmentally friendly and efficient products wherever possible.

  • We will reuse and recycle everything we are able to.

Alice Millin Design is dedicated to using UK suppliers and businesses

 

Paper goods will be FSC approved 

 

All goods will be made in the UK using manufacturers that are as locally based as possible. 

 

When sourcing products, the quality and environmental impact will be a main consideration.

Alice Millin Design fully accepts the obligations placed upon it by the various Acts of Parliament covering health and safety. Alice Millin will ensure that the following policy is
